Cook Shire Council Pest Management Plan 2012-2016

The CSCPMP will form a policy document, which is a reference for field and administrative staff, and a guide for the cooperative involvement of ratepayers, residents and adjoining communities in an integrated and coordinated approach to pest management across the Shire. The CSCPMP should be read in its entirety to appreciate the integrated approach to be implemented throughout the Shire. The CSCPMP should be in effect for no longer than 4 years before it is reviewed; and will provide direction for pest management in the Shire.

As the Shire is the frontier of entry for pests that pose adverse economic, environmental and social impacts to Australia, it is only through the continuing interest, vigilance and action of all Cook Shire stakeholders that our current pest problems can be reduced and new pests threatening our boundaries are prevented from entering the Shire.
